Looks we Love: Mixed Material Modern Loft
Posted on February 13 2019
The modern loft look is certainly not a new one, however the mixing of materials makes this one a little different and a bit more appealing. There are a lot of different materials and textures in this room that work together without issue and compliment other aspects of the interior design theme within this living room.
A few things that I first noticed about this room is how the neutral tones and textures of the hard brick wall compliment the soft slipcovered style of the arm chairs. Another aspect is the accent tables are both crafted in a minimalist style with metal framing. The black leather sofa is soft and contrasts the feel of the heavy black metal media console, but compliments it in color and balances the lighter tones of everything else in the room. The nesting coffee table appeals to the neutral tones and also offers balance to the hard metal materials and adds an organic touch to an otherwise industrial space. It is a fun space that is made personal by small touches of decor, including books, plants (again to tie into the organic coffee table) and a rug to soften the hardwood floors. Like this look? Take a peek below to find out which items are available.
Welcome to the boy's club. A low, tight mid-century silhouette in a top-grain black leather features blind tufting and a smooth touch.
A modern take on the swivel chair is small in scale and big in comfort. Luxuriously slipcovered in a stonewashed heavy jute.
A shadowbox-inspired console table gives your inner collector a place to play. Frame prized possessions in a glass enclosure with matte-black metal and brass knobs.
The clever interplay of thick Peroba wood slabs creates a modern take on the modular coffee table. Simple proportions and cunning shapes allow expansion from 48" to 76" wide.
Eye-catching, entertaining layers are designed to slide together or apart, effortlessly. Slender bases support rounded, antiqued brass-clad table tops with double rows of contrasting nail heads. Size for the large table is 24" diameter and 18" height, small table 20" diameter and 20" height.
Modern geometrics play with antique brass in this fascinating console table. Radiating lines create a sense of simplified, airy space without feeling stark.
Mix and match with materials and textures to make your own living room space a unique and enjoyable one.
