Returns and Exchanges


In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, Artesanos must temporarily suspend any order cancellations or refunds for items that are backordered, made-to-order or otherwise available to ship at a date in the near future. Most of our orders are currently being fulfilled on schedule, and any delays are being communicated to our customers as we find out about them.
We are working diligently to keep orders that are in production moving, and coordinating with suppliers on items that are backordered. 
We would like to thank you and express our highest levels of gratitude for your patronage and support, and your patience through these unprecedented times. We will do what we can to make sure you are taken care of as quickly as possible. Stay safe.

If You are not 100% Satisfied…

All items are eligible for a return within 30 days of receiving the item. Please contact us to obtain a “Return Authorization” number.

To be eligible for a return your item must be all of the following…
     - Unused and in new condition.
     - In the original packaging that it was received in.

To be eligible for a full refund, including taxes, less outbound shipping charges. Your item must…
     - Arrive back here at our shop in the same new condition and original packaging that you received it.

As most furniture items must be shipped via. LTL Motor Freight, we will be more than happy to help guide you in proper packaging and palletizing techniques. Please ship with a carrier that provides tracking numbers, and request insurance to ensure a safe return. Return shipping fees will be your responsibility.

Upon receiving your shipment, we will inspect it and issue a refund of the full purchase price, including taxes, less outbound shipping costs if the item arrives in the aforementioned "new" condition.

If an order is cancelled after the order has shipped, the customer will be responsible for round trip shipping charges, even if My Modern Furniture covered the cost of the original shipment (i.e. Free Shipping).

Incorrect, Defective or Damaged Orders

Please thoroughly inspect all orders/shipments at the time of delivery.

If you have received an item that was damaged in transit…

Please have the driver make notes of any and all damages on the delivery documentation at the time of delivery, before signing off on the shipment.
Please take digital photos of the damages, as well as the delivery documents with notations of damages at the time of the delivery and forward all of these to

We will file a claim with the carrier for the damages and work on getting a replacement out to you as soon as possible at no charge.

We use extreme care when packaging our merchandise. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you inspect the shipment and the pieces upon arrival. If there appear to be holes, dents or crushed corners on/in the packaging, please open and inspect the item further for any damages. Please note ANY & ALL (if existent) damages to the box, packaging, items or shipment on the delivery slips at the time of receiving. If damages are not noted by the driver on the shipping/delivery documentation at the time of receiving, we will not be able to file a claim with the freight company, or be able to replace your damaged items free of charge.

It should be known that freight companies and their claims processes are very difficult to deal with and time consuming. Without all proper documentation, there is very little recourse for the shipper (My Modern Furniture) or the receiver (you). Having the proper documentation will greatly improve chances of filing a successful claim so that all parties will be satisfied.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable after an item has been shipped.


Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
